mjmcgove Posted August 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2015 as the title states, is it easy to park and get to the terminal? anyone know the general cost?
k2excursion Posted August 12, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 12, 2015 Parking is $20/day. Steep, but it does give you security & convenience. We've used it both times sailing out of Miami, even though with other ports, we always used alternate parking options for cheaper. There are signs that basically direct you as to where to go to park, but the signs can sometimes be confusing. You will find the right garage to go to. The terminal will be a short walk from your car.

near the beach Posted August 12, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 12, 2015 We like the convince of parking in the parking structure. With the new tunnel under the bay getting to the port is much easier.
CJinFLA00 Posted August 12, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 12, 2015 We loved getting off the ship and literally walking across the street to get in the car. Can't get much easier.
ffmack Posted August 12, 2015 #6 Share Posted August 12, 2015 Premier Parking USA is the way to go. Secure lots and way cheaper. They have a round trip shuttle and handle all your luggage for you. I've used them 4 times. Their new lot is right across the street from the sheriffs office.

JohninDC Posted August 14, 2015 #8 Share Posted August 14, 2015 Any hotel recommendations? As downtown and Miami Beach hotels charge guests $25-30+/night to park all of the hotels offering cruise parking deals will be away from downtown/POM - most out near the MIA airport. http://www.stay123.com and http://www.parksleepfly.com are two sources to check. Often suggested on this board include Embassy Suites MIA and Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon; budget options include La Quinta East and Springhill Suites Medical center. None of these include a shuttle back from POM to your car :( - figure on spending $25-30 for a taxi.
