Photos on board - some advice for you

I noticed many people were unaware of this little tip.

1. Let them take tons of photos of you.

2. The next day/night, collect them ALL up (throw away any you know are horrid (eyes closed / squint) and ask the "photo desk" to put the rest in an envelope with your cabin number.

3. On the last night, go through them all together and choose the best ones.

We did this on RCCL and now on Princess. It's great because when you look at them all together, you can more easily decide which are better (and save youself some money IMO).

We did something similar...

At the end of each day we looked for all our pics and then took them out of the racks and put them on the very bottom rack (never any pics down there as it's too low for ppl to bend over to). The staff do not move them all week, and they are locked up each night. On the last day we took them all off the rack and went through them and decided which ones we wanted to purchase and threw the rest in the unwanted photo bin.

After they take the older photos off the boards they put them all together and we saw ppl on the last day trying to find all their pics that were in amongst hundreds of others!! Either of these ways is much easier than spending precious time looking through mulitudes of photos for yours.

Cheers,

Kim

We went through the photos one night and found one we liked and bought it.

The next night we looked again, found one we liked and bought it.

IT WAS THE SAME PICTURE! We bought the same one twice! (We must have liked it).

Just curious, when you have them sent to the cabin, don't you have to pay for them ahead of time? I know that on Carnival you do. If you don't, when do you?

cruzenmama.. We didn't take them to the cabin. They keep the envelope and write you cabin number on it.

kimba_99.. We did that on RCCL but the guys at princess said we had to put them in an envelope to ensure they didn't get lost/thrown away. With 3000 people on board they were clearing the racks with new photos.

kb9mu.. Too funny

We had a folder on both the Sea and Dawn Princess and we were doing b2b cruises. We decided on the last night the ones we wanted (which really were all of them!)and then stood and watched them throw all the others in the bin it was heartbreaking! I did ask them to leave their waste bin out that night and I would happily empty it for them but they didn't agree.
