According to the port schedule, Anthem will be out of terminal berth 101 which is called City Cruise Terminal.

This is their usual terminal.

Full schedule here: http://www.southamptonvts.co.uk/Live_Information/Shipping_Movements_and_Cruise_Ship_Schedule/Cruise_Ship_Schedule/

Hi RCI always use city terminal gate 101 or they have the last six times we've been down, I don't think it's changed for Anthem. Enjoy your cruise ,we're going on Oct 11.

Not gate 101 it's berth 101 entrance through dock gate 10 off the round about next to the holiday inn on Herbert walker avenue and opposite the grand harbour hotel.

Dock Gate 8 is the one you need, not ten as above.

If you really wanted to see some of the port (not pretty, but quite interesting) you could come off at the roundabout where the A35 and A33 meet, head down First Avenue, then Western Avenue, and finally West Bay Road and Solent Road. This is the way our taxi brought us (he did ask first!).

Berth 101 is the one nearest to Mayflower Park and either gate 8 or 10 will work.

Here is a high definition photo taken from the Holiday Inn showing dock gate 8, City Cruise terminal and the Anthem docked. Its big (19meg which might take a while to download) so I haven't shown the image directly.

Can you spot the man with a broom cleaning the ship? (Without a harness by the looks of it!)

We're staying at the Holiday Inn - is there anywhere to potter about, or is the port too far from anything else?

Its a 5 minute walk to the High Street, over the road and keep going. We go to the Wetherspoons for something to eat which is cheap and cheerful. We walked to Asda in the morning too to stock up on odds and ends.

Holiday Inn HWA is across the road from the huge West Quay shopping centre (John Lewis, M&S etc). There is also the old walls which are rather scenic. And a lovely boutique hotel called Pig in the Wall. For food there is the Ennios hotel which also has an Italian restaurant.
