NOLA shuttle vs cab to/from the airport???

Does anyone have any thoughts on shuttle vs cab to and from the airport???

We did super shuttle last time but website just gos to the Official airport shuttle site.

 

thinking about a cab since we will be go to Hilton Riverside when we come in b4 the cruise and leaving after our meeting from the Renaissance.

 

to use the shuttle that would one way both times $40pp each way.(round trip are $38pp) That $80 I did a cab rate finder and it said in light traffic $45 going from airport $48 back. But if it is heavy traffic it could be as much as $61-65.

 

any thoughts

Taxi is a flat rate of $33 for up to 4 people

Really? that would be great. It is a is cheaper that the shuttles???, Than why am I worrying about a shuttle? I didn't see that on the airport web site, I did a web search for how much will my cab be.

For the past several years it's always been a flat rate from the airport to downtown and same for the return.
