Have you brought a case of soda or water onboard Navigator recently? Did you carry it on or did the porter take it? Last year I saw many people attempting to, however I've never tried myself.

In March we brought on 2 cases of water. I fortified them with extra cardboard on the bottom and plenty of tape. I put 2 luggage tags on them and gave them to the porter.

Was on the navigator last week. I put our water in a duffle with a tag and had to go claim it on deck 1 because they thought it might be alcohol. I saw a luggage rack with just cases of water being delivered to staterooms late in the day. However when I had just a case in September I still had to go down and claim it. So yes they will take it but you may have to go to deck 1 to claim it. I didn't mind as long as I don't have to carry it on board.
