Fall colors

I know you are going to tell me . It depends on Mother Nature and the weather.

But...I can't decide. If I go on a October 6 cruise out of Cape Liberty.

Would it wise to do a week drive thru Boston, Vermont prior to the cruise to see fabulous colors. Then couple days in NY after Oct 15. Or reverse. I'm thinking the 15 might be alittle late in Vermint.

There is an interactive foliage map for New England here provided by Yankee Magazine; just run it and you'll see how autumn creeps across NE.

Since you are willing to do a motor tour, that would be your best bet, but you won't be alone. YM also provides details on foliage drives.

IMHO, the best port to see foliage would be Bar Harbor because Acadia National Park is there.

The cruise is Oct 6 thru 15. So we will see along the coast. Either before or after we want to see Vermont and NH. So my option is sept 28 thru October 5 for the road trip or after the cruise October 16 thru 21
