Cruising Alaska with Holland America- the Biggest Trap Ever

So a person can be in the US legally after their visa has expired. There is a provision in the law that re-validates the visa if while legally in the US with an expired visa and they just nip across the border into Canada or Mexico.

Assuming, of course, that you have the necessary documentation to enter Canada. Your paragraph makes the same error as the OP, focusing on US status and ignoring Canadian sovereignty.

I have a feeling it is the not unusual scenario these days when anything goes wrong, it must be someone else's fault. Self responsibility seems to be a lost attribute.

Unfortunately, this attitude is being reinforced in many school systems that have adopted a no-fail policy. Whether or not they pass tests or complete assignments, students are automatically promoted to the next grade. An Edmonton teacher was suspended for giving a zero mark to students who didn't bother turning in assignments. Great way to set an example for the students! If we don't make children in school learn that there are consequences for their actions, is it really surprising that self-responsibity is, as you so rightly say, a lost attribute?

What a shame that is.. Our children are going to grow up & not know how to handle their own problems..!
