Travel R Posted August 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2015 Sometimes the "All Things" threads veer from the facts about the ship and goes off on tangents where a lot of pertinent information is lost within pages of posts. I have gone through the old All Things Splendor Thread, a number of reviews on Splendor, and other resources, and have created this current thread that will provide (at least to begin with), facts about Carnival Splendor that passengers may want to know, such as the location of certain venues or the hours of a particular restaurant. This is not a static thread, and as things change (or if I have gotten any information wrong), please continue to add to this thread.

Travel R Posted August 19, 2015 Author #17 Share Posted August 19, 2015 Your entry on smoking says it is allowed on balconies. I thought Carnival had banned smoking on balconies? I apologize if I have incorrect information. I apologize - I have it wrong. There is no smoking in staterooms, including the balconies of staterooms. I remember when they stopped it on RCI two years ago, but at that point Carnival was still allowing it. I must have copied this data from an old source, and since I am not a smoker, I did not think more about it. Sorry

Paddy41 Posted September 2, 2015 #25 Share Posted September 2, 2015 Question re lido deck, buffet area. There are stairs to an upper level on other Carnival ships I've been on. Seems to be an easy area to find seats, very quiet. On one ship they had fish & chips & seafood. On another there was a pasta bar. What's there on Splendor? Is it where the rotisserie is? Is tandoori there too or is it on deck 9?
