lmcgrail Posted August 23, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 23, 2015 Or are they all the same:confused: The balcony sizes are different: DAWN balcony sizes: 12020/12520 = 98 sq ft 12022/12522 = 110 sq ft 12026/12526 = 110 sq ft 12028/12528 = 77 sq ft 12030/12530 = 58 sq ft We've got 12526 booked for Jan 2017. We picked it because it was one of those with the largest balconies.
Rare deefer Posted August 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 24, 2015 We were in 12530. Picked this one deliberately despite being a smaller balcony. For us it worked as there was only 2 of us. More than enough room on the balcony and you have more interior space because of the way the room is designed. I believe an extra 50 sq ft interior space (because of the way part of it sticks out). As we are only on the balcony for an hour or two a day, we went with more interior room. Also, I tend to get sea sick so wanted a cabin as close to mid ship as possible. Having said that, this room only sleeps 4 as no Murphy bed. Again worked for us as just hubby and I. You have to decide wether you want more interior room or a larger balcony. If you hang out on the balcony vs the pool area all day, then go with larger balcony. But if only on the balcony for short periods of times, go with 12530 (as long as only 4 of you). Honestly, I don't think you could go wrong with any one of the cabins. We absolutely loved ours! Have fun!!!:)

Rare FitchburgWIFamily Posted August 24, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 24, 2015 We were in 12520: Balcony is large enough for two loungers with a table in between and two arm chairs with a table in between. We chose that one because the balcony is in the front, and you can look forward to the bridge and and toward the front of the boat. The door of that suite is right by the stairs and elevators, but with our suite door closed, we never heard any noise. One nice thing: if you are a party of six....we could go out the door, up the stairs, and use the public restrooms on deck 13 when out bathroom was occupied. Have fun planning! bosnatis Posted August 24, 2015 #7 Share Posted August 24, 2015 On page 2 of this thread I posted pictures of suite number 12026. We were on the Dawn last year in April. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2123962
KateQ22003 Posted August 24, 2015 #8 Share Posted August 24, 2015 We always cruise in 12022; it has one of the biggest balconies. It also has a murphy bed, so it is one of the ones that sleeps 6. We love that room!
gail-s Posted September 2, 2015 #9 Share Posted September 2, 2015 We had Suite 12026 in July and rebooked it again for next July. It was excellent.
ImADaneFan Posted September 2, 2015 #10 Share Posted September 2, 2015 IMHO the best family suite is the Garden Villa! ;):D

We were on the other side of the ship from you in 12020. We loved it!! I had booked the balcony cause DH is a smoker, now that smoking isn't allowed on the balconies, we are going to try a family suite with no balcony...
