On a clear day it is fun to take one of the ferries over to Sausalito and have lunch along the waterfront at the Scomas there. Beautiful views of San Francisco from across the bay.

Dungeness crab with sourdough at any of the Wharf restaurants.

 

Had a crab cake sandwich at Boudin's Cafe last week. They use real crab, found shells in the cake.

Try the chocolate raisin sourdough bread. It's fantastic.

Boulevard for upscale but casual, the iconic Zuni Cafe or anyplace in the Ferry Building are all good bets. Yank Sing is convenient great dim sum but better is Ton Kiang, an easy Geary bus ride or Uber away.

We are cruising out of LA on the Jewel and we are from the east coast. We will be driving down the West Coast from SF and staying in Monterey/Carmel and Cambria/San Simeon. How much time do we need in each location? 1 or 2 days enough? Can anyone recommend places to stay!
