This may not seem important to most, but it is to me.

 

We'll be on the Mariner in Feb. in a GS

 

Does the balcony door slide or does it open out?

It is a very important question. We asked the same thing when we booked our cruise. On the Carnival ship we sailed last year, the door swung open so we made sure we brought bungee cords. We won't need them for our AOS cruise. :D

What about the exlporer of the seas? what type of door do they have on the balcony? we are in an os #1314. thanks

If the Explorer is like the Voyager (same class ship) ...sliding doors..no bungee needed...

If you find yourself on a ship with a swing out balcony door, you can always use the rubber door stop that the room steward uses to hold all the doors open. Just wedge it in the hinge side of the door frame.
