Purchasing liquor for cabin use

Does anyone know if you can purchase bottles of liquor from room service during the course of your cruise or does it have to be at embarkation only.

They're happy to sell it to you at any time.

Pick up the phone at any time, they will be more than happy to send anything you might need. Prices are slightly above average.

If I purchase a bottle of, say, vodka, will I be allowed to carry it with me to the MDR or any of the on board bars and drink from it there? If so, will there be any problem if I want to share it with my table mates or other passengers?

It's for IN cabin use or your own balcony only.

Thanks for the quick reply. Follow up questions: Would I be allowed to host a party in my suite and serve the Room Service liquor to my guests? And would I be allowed to consume a drink that I had mixed in my suite while I walked on the Promenade Deck?

Yes, you can have friends over to play. Technically, the room service liquor is to be consumed in the room, but from a practical standpoint, I don't know how anyone would know - other than the fact that the glasses are a little different.

The price of liquor purchased onboard is quite comparable to prices here in Canada. HAL has the most reasonable prices of the four cruise lines I have sailed, by far.

We have never had any problems ordering alcohol during the cruise.

 

We also make certain that we have a couple of ones handy to tip the person who delivers the alcohol.
