Gift Card Use Onboard

Do you know if Carnival gift cards can be used for onboard purchases in the Spa and the Gift Shops?

 

I am hoping to use the gift card directly, so the charges will not appear on my Sail & Sign account.

 

Buying a couple gifts for the wife, and don't want to ruin the surprise. (She checks sail & sign balance daily.)

No you cannot use the Gift Card in the Spa or Shops. All charges on the ship go onto your S & S card. You have to apply the gift card to your S & S card and your wife if she checks will find out.
