Walking from Galveston Seawall Hotel to the Port?

Trying to find out if anyone has walked from the Seawall area to the port. Is it doable or just too far.

Trying to find out if anyone has walked from the Seawall area to the port. Is it doable or just too far.

Depending on where you are on the Seawall, it can be 1-2 miles. I would not want to do it with luggage.

The island, at its widest, is 2 miles.

However, it is a very long walk to the port from any place on the Seawall.

 

Harbor House and The Tremont Hotel are the only two possibilities to walk to the port.

 

I would not recommend walking to the port from anywhere but downtown,.
