discjoker Posted August 31, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2015 Okay, so some might find this a bit cheezy but we certainly feel we stumbled upon a hidden gem on our Splendor cruise last week. The last sea day they have the towel folding class followed by a performance of "Towel Animal Theater". It is really a first-rate puppetry production on the level of Henson and related projects. Doing a little research it was created by one of Henson's ex-puppeteers who also was in the Broadway production of Avenue Q. Our kids LOVED it and my wife and I were very entertained as well (plenty of "adult" jokes that go over the kid's heads and really good music). Thought I would share something that many might otherwise overlook.
Perez1992 Posted August 31, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 31, 2015 So this sounds fun I think I will check it out and maybe drag my boyfriend to watch to
trvlgirlmq Posted August 31, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2015 I have the opposite reaction. We finally went after 4 cruises. It is 30 minutes of my life I will never get back. Unless you have a child under the age of 5 it is ridiculous in the extreme.
Zeta3 Posted August 31, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 31, 2015 We also were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed towel animal theater on the fantasy
092306 Posted August 31, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 31, 2015 We like doing the towel folding on the last sea day and my 4 year old liked the towel animal theater. Like everything else, it appeals to some and not others.
