Thinking about our next cruise. We have been on the the following Carnival ships:

Legend, Freedom and Sunshine

Loved the Legend, Freedom was pretty good and although nice we were not fans of the Sunshine (crowds and only 1 family pool was a huge issue).

I know the Breeze has the most activities but what ship do you like best and why. Im removing itinerary and price as each is close enough in price and we like the places they all go.

Things we like: ability to find a table in the shade for a bit, pools my kids can swim in occasionally (not like sardines). All have at least 1 waterslide while the Breeze has the waterpark and thrill theater and ropes course.

How crowded are the pools on the Breeze- I see both are for kids? (My kids will be 13 and 10 for the trip).

Trip date: 3rd week April 2016

Thanks!!!

With all prices close, I would choose the newest, best equipped ship.

Breeze

Spirit class ships are my all time favorite.

That said, we've sailed all three ships about which you are inquiring. I enjoyed Breeze the most of the three, followed by Splendor then Glory last.

I like Breeze and Splendor because both have nice wide open aft pol decks. The Waterworks on Breeze is cool. We are in our mid-50's and had a blast standing under the giant water bucket. :D I am going to try the ropes course on our second Breeze cruise next February.

Breeze definitely has more activities, plus she has Tandoor (Indian) which I ate for lunch every single day. Mmmm! (I'm looking forward to Tandoor so much in February.)

All ships pools tend to get crowded because there are not enough for the number of passengers and they aren't large enough.

Good luck choosing.

Another vote for the Breeze!

I was on the Glory in April and just got off the Breeze this weekend. Hands down, in my opinion I would choose the Breeze.

I felt the food choices were more varied on the Breeze with the Lido deck offering Mongolian Wok, Indian Tandoor ( so delicious, also ate here daily!!!!) , plus the deli, Guy's Burger's, Mexican cantina, pizza, and the daily buffet offerings.

The Glory does not offer Mongolian Wok or Indian Tandoor Grill, which is a negative in my book because I don't really care for burgers or burritos.

Also, I felt the addition of the deck area on both sides of the Promenade Deck with the tables, umbrellas, beach loungers, and jacuzzis was brilliant. I like to lay out sometimes and really appreciate never having to search for a free lounger if I went on deck 5 and having it pretty much all to myself.

Also, I like the layout of the Promenade Deck better as it goes through the casino. The casino is now larger and split into 2 open floor plan sides with newer machines.

Hi, Just wondering why you ranked the glory "last" ?? I've never sailed on any of these but considering both the spendor and the glory in february. Is anything "wrong" with the Glory or are the other two just so much better????? please elaborate specifically on what you didn't like about the Glory.

Thanks!

The ship itself is fine. The aft pool, which is adult only and admittedly a plus, is recessed into the ship so it feels very closed in. We move our deck chairs with the sun and cannot do that. The aft pool deck on Breeze and Splendor is wide open. We park ourselves by the railing. We love to watch and listen to the wake. We turn our chairs as we like.

Would I sail Glory again? Absolutely. Of the three ships mentioned in the op's post, I'd choose her last.

My wife and I are actually sailing on Splendor on April 17th. Its just the Wife and I as were leaving our kids at home to "get away" This will be our first ever cruise so we wanted a bigger newer ship but Breeze didn't go to the western Caribbean ports we were looking at. Part of our decision was the itinerary though. We really wanted to see Belize for the cave tubing and Roatan for the snorkeling.

Your situation is you have kids and Splendor doesn't have the water park that breeze and Glory have. Splendor has a water slide and a kiddie splash park up top but not what Breeze and Glory have.

All Ships are great from reviews that I have read its just what your looking for in a ship and entertainment on-board.

If I was bringing my kids with us I would have booked on Breeze because my kids are water freaks. They can entertain them selves all day at the water park

I recently sailed the Splendor and the Breeze within a 3 month time frame with the same exact ports, dates, etc... I had a great time on the Splendor and really do not get why it gets bad remarks. I sort of liked the pink donuts and the Breeze while nice is a tad dull imo.Reminded me a little of a middle class RCI ship. It never felt crowded at all and the service was great on the Splendor.

While i had a good time on the Breeze i had a few complaints as well. The pools are pathetic and overfilled constantly. The service was not as good. The floors around the dining area/lido were always very very slick and they were constantly mopping them with a dry mop. Casino service was very slow also. Also the restaurants closed way too early and most of the time they would close an hour earlier than what the fun times had listed. Even the 24 hour pizza place was closed twice around 4 am when i went by. I will admit that Guys was surprisingly as good as advertised but i only got a taste of the Tandoor grill the first day. Never caught it open again. Oh and the unsupervised kids on that ship. Jesus!

I do not have kids and i am sure the ropes course and the theatre will be a big selling point though. Either way you will have a great time on both ships.

Just this past Feb/March we did B2B2B2B cruises, first on Glory, second two on Breeze, and fourth on Splendor. We had been on Splendor and Breeze before this.

We LOVE the Breeze, we liked Glory, we were not thrilled with Splendor. The ship is looking very worn and it had pockets of sewage smells, especially on Deck 2. I hear it is up for dry dock but they won't be adding most of the 2.0 features.

I LOVE the italian restaurant on Breeze, both for lunch (free) and dinner (fee).

Bottom line is I don't think we would ever pick Splendor again, but would go on the other two in a hot minute.
