What would be the best way for the 4 of us to get there? Susan On a Sunday morning I would take a cab if the four of you can fit in one cab with luggage. It should be $15-20 with tip. Otherwise your choice is to hop on the SilverLine bus and pay $2.65/pp to go to South Station where you do a free transfer via elevator to the Red Line direction Alewife and go three stops to Charles/MGH, which is accessible and very close to your hotel. Could you post back and tell us about your experience staying at John Jefferies? It's one of the few affordable places to stay in downtown Boston and is billed as a B&B hotel. I will post back about the John Jeffries, it doesn't look fancy but looks good enough for a 3 night stay without breaking the bank. Also seems to be close to a T stop. The only concern we might have about it is ambulance noise from the hospital. Will let y'all know how it goes.

It won't be a fancy hotel, but does it deliver on cleanliness, location, and convenience?
