How does this app work, what is the cost?

You can download it from the App Store. The app is free and will allow you to check out your onboard account as well as things like making reservations and viewing menus etc. You can also use it to text/call other users of the app for $7.95 per device. There are some other features but those are the ones I used.

App is free to download and to use when onboard (make sure you have data roaming switched off if you are international to avoid carrier charges) and logged onto the free WIFI network.

 

There is a paid section to enable in app calling and messaging when onboard which is $7.95 per device.

For those of us with android tablets facing the "incompatible device" download error, perhaps some one could upload an apk of the new version from their android phone? It has happened before and would be greatly appreciated!

The first and only 3 reviews on GooglePlay since the update all state it no longer works at all. Can anybody else confirm?

I read in another thread that the update is causing havoc all over the ship.

Just off the Jewel. App worked fine for me (android) and my brother (iphone) in so far as checking our accounts. Neither of us activated the calling feature.

The latest version on Android MM 6.x is 3.0.20 (size is 23 MB) - those previously installed with auto-update will get this. For iPhones - 3.0.27 was released on Oct. 17, 2015 and running on mine running iOS 9.1 (size - 31 MB)

 

Go to your device's official store for easy download while at home/before leaving for the cruise and if previously installed, check for the newest one first - there's been 3 or 4 updates since installing ours this March. One of our nephew was on the Breakway 2 weeks ago & used the "free" features to keep track of their onboard account, works fine - once "activated" on the ship's exclusive inTRAnet (and, while waiting during embarkation in the pier/terminal if the signal is strong enough.)

 

On newer ships with updated interactive TV system in the staterooms, many of the features (if not all) are available on the screen using the TV remote to scroll.
