voyageurx Posted October 16, 2015 #26 Share Posted October 16, 2015 Hello all. I'm looking to book my first Transatlantic cruise and I'm seeing from this board that it's quite a popular route with gay and lesbian travelers. My question is to all the frequent Transatlantic cruisers....is there one particular line that tends to have more gay and lesbian travelers than another? My partner may not be interested in going so I may go solo and I'd like to find other gay and lesbian travelers to connect with. Hoping to hear your past experiences and thoughts. Thanks! Have done 20 TA crossings on six different lines. Cunard has a very significant number of gays who meet at cocktail hour in the Commodore lounge as indicated is the daily ship's paper. Celebrity's Martini bar at cocktail hour is often like a gay bar. Norwegian has a notice in the paper each day for GLBT get-together. MSC is very non-gay. RCL has a good number of guys on TA. HAL has the oldest clients and fewest gays on their TA crossings in my experience.
energise2015 Posted October 21, 2015 #27 Share Posted October 21, 2015 I have noticed that no one has mentioned Carnival, which i suppose is because they don't do TA trips very often, but we are booked on Vista next year Barcelona to NY, and we have always made friends (of all sorts of ages and sexes) on other lines, especially Cunard and Celebrity , I hope that will be the case for Carnival. Any ideas?
