Shuttle from WDW to Port

we are staying a couple days pre-cruise at WDW resort and then taking shuttle to the port......has anyone here done that and can explain the process?

Do we sign up somewhere for a shuttle at a specific time or is it first come first serve? do shuttles run often?

DCL transfers are bookable through DCL. They cost $35.00 per person. There is only one pickup at each resort (generally within the 10:45-12:30 window) with arrival at the port anywhere between 12:00-2:00. Although sometimes it can be later.

 

You are notified the night before pick up what time to report to the pick up spot (usually in the front of the resort), if you book the transfers. I believe they must be booked by 3 days prior to the cruise.

If you are using DCL transfers, you will place the cruise tags on your luggage and place them INSIDE your hotel room by the door. They are picked up between 8 and 9am, so you are asked to have them ready by 8. You will next see them outside your cabin door on the ship.

 

You will have a meet time about 30 minutes before the bus is due for pick up. A CM will take attendance at the meet spot and sometimes again as you board the bus. This is all detailed in the sheet that will be in your room the day before the cruise.

 

DO be sure they know on check in that you are using DCL transfers. They will check to be sure the system is correct.
