Nassau do we need to book excursions ahead?

We have never been to Bahamas before, just wondering if we need to book something ahead or can we find a snorkel trip when we arrive? We will be there in Oct. on a Wed from 7am to 3 pm. Thanks for help in advance.

Are prices negotiable like other destinations? They start high you haggle low?

We would book ahead of time for Nassau and learn about the excursion and find out the price.

As you get farther away from the ship, the vendors become more and more negotiable.

I've always booked ahead online at least you kind of know who you are dealing with and have a record. But as everyone has said there are lots of vendors/tours once you get off the ship.
