Can't believe with all that has happened with the Liberty that Carnival raised prices today. I guess they want to absorb some of the expenses through new booking price increases.

Supply and demand rules the day.. If the price went up it means the cruise is selling well.

Our November sailing has been going up and up for weeks. Today it finally came down to almost what we paid but still not quite. It has a lot to do with time, capacity and of course demand.

Our Valor sailing has been steadily going up. We paid $474/pp for a picture window, now a Deck 2 interior cabin is at $500/pp

Approximately 20% of cabins still show as vacant across the board for my sailing 59 days out. Prices have gone down by a small margin since I booked about four months ago. I am hoping for a price reduction and some OBC since final payment has now gone past. I'm still be happy with my price even if it doesn't because the cruise is going where I wanted to go, when I wanted to go, and from my favorite port. It's all good.

Our December cruise on the Splendor was steadily going up until yesterday. Then it suddenly dropped. I still paid less back when I booked it in February, but maybe some who booked recently are getting a price break.

I am curious how someone would link a price increase to an incident on the Liberty..? Has nothing to do with that... Prices are up and down all the time, based on how the ship is selling for a particular date... Please explain your logic[emoji41]

its usually the opposite anyway. problem on any ship that hits the media, media runs how dangerous cruising is type stories. prices drop to entice people. No accidents, no bad stories for a while... prices go back to normal

My January B2B has seen increases before and after Liberty's problems. However, they are for higher decks than what we booked. Our location is unavailable at the present moment. As people accept upsells, our category will open up again.

One of my three cabins for March dropped yesterday and I got a $40 price reduction and today it is up $60 - glad I made the call yesterday.

Our Nov cruise has increase $140 per person and our Jan 2017 cruise has increased $40.00 per person from when we booked them.
