How Long Does a Refund Take if Canceling Cruise?

So older dd wants to go on the cruise with us and we were sure her new job wouldn't let her, now they are considering it. But I can't add her to our current reservation so looking at canceling and re-booking or looking for a different cruise but will need what I have paid-in in order to re-book with her.

If your booking with the same cruise line they will transfer any monies to new booking.

If you are switching cruise lines a cash deposit could take up to six weeks while a credit should be done to your card with in a week.

That depends on your cycle for the credit card. While the cruiseline may credit you right away, it can take as much as two months to show up on your statement.

But you can go online and check CC to see when its been posted.

Just to give you my personal experience. I had to cancel a cruise last year. I was paid in full using a debit card. The money was back in my account in 5 business days. The NCL rep I spoke to said it could take up to 10 business days or so.
