Hello,

 

Me and my husband will be doing our first Disney Cruise aboard the Fantasy. We are huge fans of Royal Caribbean, but finally decided to give Disney ships a try.

 

I was wondering if Disney ships have laundry facilities for guests to use instead of paying to have clothes ironed? I only found that once on a Princess Cruise and it is a great option to have.

They do have self service laundry on the ships on a few different floors. I agree it was such a great option to have.

As Nubble, stated, there are laundries on various decks, each with a iron and board as well.

 

While Disney is not known to be cheap, the laundry and cleaning service is pretty reasonable. On our last 2 DCL cruises we ended up not bothering to do the wash and just had the vessel service do it. You may want to check out the list of costs in your cabin.

The self service laundry can get crowded and the equipment isn't always reliable. We do use it, and the key is to pay attention to the times for washing and drying clothes (the machines should tell you), and be back in the laundry room before your washing and drug is complete, because inevitably someone will be waiting to use the machine.

 

Dry cleaning is pretty reasonable, cheaper than we pay at home.

We've used the machines on both of our Fantasy cruises, I think it was about $6 total for washing and drying. I believe the irons in there were free. I don't remember if there was one on deck 8 but know for sure there was one on deck 9 aft. BTW, the Fantasy is an amazing ship, you're going to love it. Be sure to do the Mid Ship Detective and ride the AquaDuck!
