C & A Benefits with Drink Package

I was reading another thread that were discussing the benefits and this just struck me.

 

(1101) Buy any Wine, Beer or Soda by the glass and get a second (of equal or lesser value) FREE

(1102) Purchase any glass of Wine, Beer or Soda and receive a 10% discount

 

If you buy an alcohol drink package these are in effect worthless.

 

The first one I guess you could get two drinks at once, but you still aren't getting anything "free", and it would probably take a bar manager to make that happen.

 

The second one short of handing me 60 - 80 cents is completely pointless.

If you were purchasing a drink for someone else who didn't have a package, then you could use the coupons.

We've never had the drink package, but I'd guess you can use the coupon if you're purchasing wine or beer that doesn't qualify for those on the drink package.

 

Read many comments that the drink package alcohol out of stock, so you had to get something that wasn't part of your package.

Meant to add, that we often use the Buy One Get one Free coupon on Dos XX Beer because it doesn't qualify for any of the diamond lounge drinks.

Maybe it's the New Yorker in me, but I'm NOT going to quietly accept "we don't have that for free on the package. Pay for something else".
