Three Girls Trip Of A Lifetime on the Adventure of the Seas 9-5-15

Recommended Posts

Wow! What a vacation!

This trip has been in the making since May of 2014. First of, an explanation of why this trip is so special to us. Mom had been battling ovarian cancer for the last 4 or 5 years, and beat lung cancer at the beginning, when she was diagnosed with both types of cancer. Our time with her is very precious to us, thus, our decision to take a trip that we could cherish for the rest of our lives.

I first got the idea after my BF and I took our first cruise on the NCL Dawn in January of 2014, and my cruise addiction started. We had decided to take my Dad on a cruise to Alaska, which we did just this past May. It got me thinking, what if I could get my mom and sister to go on a cruise? Just us girls. Well obviously it didn't take much convincing! We got together when my BF and I went over to visit on Memorial Day weekend like we always do, and got started figuring out where it was we wanted to go, and as you can see after much deliberation, we decided on a 7 day cruise out of Puerto Rico in the Adventure of the Seas! We were so excited! Jump forward almost a year and a half, and we're on the eve of our vacation! Woo hoo!

Disclaimer: this review represents solely our experiences and opinions. I'm sure there are plenty of people whose opinions and experiences were a complete 180 of ours, as we did hear a few people who had different views than us. I can only report what we experienced. Also, as I have to work a lot of overtime, and other pesky obligations, I can only devote so much time to this review, but I will try to update and finish as quickly as I can. So,please be patient as I try to get through this. :) Also, because my laptop is in the fritz, all I have is my iPad. Therefore, I am unable to post any pictures :(. I hope everybody who reads this enjoys and that I can provide some helpful information.

Before I go too much farther, I'll make the introductions. This cruise consisted of myself (32), Sis (48) and Mom (72). Mom and Sis live about 60 or 70 miles north of Seattle, and I live in north Idaho. Despite the distance between us, we still remain close. We are very fun loving, goof and silly ( especially when you get the three of us together:D) and can find humor in almost any situation. Due to Mom not always feeling up to snuff, I tried to plan our days as being very low key, just relaxing on the beach. I only planned one tour this go round in St. Lucia, which I will get into later. I also picked this cruise because of it being very port intensive, because Mom was a little worried about sea sickness so figured with more ports, it would mean the ship being still more. I would later rethink this at the end of the cruise. So without further ado, let's get this party started!

We had been debating on the best way for us to all meet up and fly down to Puerto Rico. We decided that I would fly over from Spokane airport and meet up with them in Seattle the day before our flight down, and we would stay the night at the Coast Gatewat Hotel located right next to the Sea Tac airport. This way, there was no worrying about Seattle traffic, and we would get to sleep later the morning of our flight.

Since my flight to Seattle wasn't until 730 that evening, I spent the day finishing up my packing and picking up a few last minute items. I also treated myself to my first every pedicure! I figured why not? This cruise is going to be SPECIAL. I had my BF drive me down to the airport so I didn't have to pay for parking. We got to the airport VERY early, about an hour and a half before my flight. I know what some of you are thinking, " WHAT?! THAT IS CUTTING IT WAY TOO CLOSE!!!". Not for this tiny little airport, get there an hour before your flight, and you're sitting at the gate for about 50 minutes waiting. A learned to appreciated this later in our trip :D. We sat and visiting for a little while before I went through security, since we weren't going to see each other for 10 whole days :(. My flight over is nice and short, only about an hour. I get into Sea Tac and this place is a zoo! Holy crap! I go out to where they are going to pick me up, and it's like playing Frogger trying to get to the car! As I get in the car, we're all like a bunch of giddy teenagers we're so excited. We get checked into the hotel and find it to be very clean and comfortable. Also very quiet for being next to the airport, we didn't hear the planes all night despite seeing them about 100 or so yards away from our window! This is where our silliness really gets out of hand. We're laying there in bed, and our family joke is to say good night like " The Waltons", but we can't remember the name of one of the characters, and for some reason, Mom and Sis get the giggles over this. Really bad. My sister would do a little giggle, then That would crack mom up, the my sister would laugh harder, which would make her snort. Then I start laughing at my sister's snort. Then we would get quiet again, and then repeat the process lol. They were still giggling when I fell asleep at around 11.

Our flight was due to leave Seattle at 820 that morning, so we decided to get up at 515 to give everybody time to eat breakfast and get ready. The hotel offers a nice complimentary breakfast in the lobby, so that was handy before a long day of flying. We took the free shuttle to be dropped off at the airport, and arrived there at 630. I booked the flight through American Airlines, but U.S. air was the operating carrier, so there was a little confusion on my part as to where to check in. Once that was done and their bags were checked, we headed for security. What a NIGHTMARE! This line was HUGE! Big change from the tiny, ghost town airport that I'm use to! Thankfully, it only took us about half an hour to get through security. Our flight left in time and was fairly smooth. Layover in Philadelphia, if I thought Seattle was a zoo, it has nothing on this place. As you exit the tunnel, you have to try to squeeze through people trying to board at the neighboring gate. Not layed out very well at all. We were able to find something that resembled food ( we all know how airport food can be :D) and didn't have too long of a wait to board our next flight. So we board and taxi towards the runway, and we wait. And wait. And wait. I think we ended up taking off almost an hour late, but made good time down to PR and got in at about 1120 that evening. We collected their bags and made our way outside to the taxi stand. It was very easy getting a taxi. You just go up to the dispatch stand and tell them where you want to go, and they show you right to a taxi.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites in Isle Verde, so it was only about a 5 or 10 minute ride from the airport and I believe the fare was $18 for the three of us, but I honestly can't remember for 100%. The hotel is very nice with a very pretty tropical courtyard. We get checked in and go to use the elevator to go up to our room, I push the button, and nothing happens. Hmm, I try again. Nothing. I'm feeling pretty stupid at this point seeing as I'm being outsmarted by an elevator ( a glass elevator by the way, was fun looking out on the courtyard in our way up). My sister finally went and asked somebody how to use the thing, and come to find out, you have to use your room key to go up. Very handy piece of information. I do like it was an added security measure though.

We found our room to be very nice with a separate living room and bedroom. I will make note here though that the beds in this double room were NOT queen size beds, but more like a full size. Not big deal to us, just wanted to make people aware in case two queen beds is important to them. Since Puerto Rico is three hours a head of your time zone, it threw off a little. Here it is after midnight and we're,still wide awake since our bodies think it's only 9 lol. We explored and looked around for a bit to try to wind down. No such luck for me, we were going on a cruise the next day!!! It's time for me to retire for the evening and take care of a few of those pesky obligations that keep me from writing more of this thing lol. If anybody has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! Have a good evening everybody :)

A wonderful opportunity and congratulations to the 3 of you for making the most of these times! My mom passed away 5 years ago and we are about to take a cruise with our 3 girls and my dad. My mom loved cruising and she would have loved this trip with her 3 granddaughters. We miss her everyday. Will read your account and think about what could have been. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for the review. My 3 girlfriends and I are leaving on 10/24 on the Adventure. This will be my 1st sailing since losing my mom to esophageal cancer last June. She and I cruises a few times together so it will be bittersweet. We decided to upgrade to the Family Suite to get the extra room from our two balconies we originally booked. Hopefully your PC will stop acting up and you'll be able to add photos.

Can't wait to read more of your review. I've done a girls cruise with my mom and 1 of my sisters several years back and it was so much fun. This past December we did another girls trip to Hawaii that included my other sister. It was crazy with all the hormones (one sister was preggo at the time) but we had the best time and will be something we will always remember.

The day we've been waiting for has arrived! Even though we got to bed late, we were up at about 730 in the morning and dressed and headed down for breakfast. The Embassy suites offers a great hot breakfast in the mornings from 630 - 1030, and they really have a great selection of food. I was so excited I could barely eat lol. At this point I'm going to note that my previous two cruises were in NCL, so I couldn't help but make comparisons throughout our trip. So I will be mentioning these throughout my review as well.

I needed to purchase a few last minute items from the store, so I asked the front desk about one within walking distance. They directed me to Pueblo's, it's an easy quarter mile or so walk. You just stay right on the side walk as you leave the hotel, and it's on the left hand side of the road. I struggled a bit trying to find things, because the signs on the aisles are in English and Spanish. Well, I didn't notice the English part of them until I pulled my head out of my butt, so I was a little lost there for awhile lol.

As I'm walking back to the hotel, I can't shake the feeling that I'm forgetting something. Hate that feeling. I get back to the hotel and as I'm gathering my stuff I realize I forgot to buy toothpaste and a couple gift bags that my mom and sis wanted for the gifts we bought for the meet and mingle! Crap! We checked out of the hotel at about 9:50 and we easily waved over one of the taxis waiting by the hotel. I asked him to take us to Walgreens to pick up the rest of our stuff. As I go in, I notice ALL the aisle signs are in Spanish. So I just asked on of the employees where everything I wanted was at so I didn't spend forever searching lol. We got to the pier at around 1030 and I believe our fare was $26 for the three of us.

We got in line to check Mom and Sis's bags, and then found the line for suites. They weren't letting people into the terminal yet, so we waited around grateful to be under cover because it starting raining buckets a few minutes after our arrival! With NCL they had people outside directing us where to go, so this was a little different for me.

At 1100 they started letting people into the terminal. Inside, they did have people showing us where to go, which helped a little. We got into the line for suite guests, and had a very short wait. After getting our sea pass cards, we were directed to a waiting area that was designated for suite guests. This is another difference I noted. On my last cruise with NCL, somebody outside the terminal to a desk that verified we were in a suite. Then we were escorted inside to the front of security then whisked away to a private, comfortable lounge where we were able to get something to drink and eat snacks while waiting for our turn to be checked in. This area they had here got very crowded and not very comfortable. They did have a free taste bar there where you could sample a wine or a liquor. I decided to buy us a couple bottles of wine since RCI lets us bring on two bottles without paying a corkage fee. On NCL you pay $15 a bottle.

They started boarding at about noon. Finally! The moment we've been waiting almost a year and a half for! Here's a another comparison. With NCL, the concierge met us all in the lounge and then escorted us to the ship ahead of the other line getting on, very simple and stress free. This was not. This was more like a cattle drive! They just said ok, this section first and it just seemed very hectic. We stepped out of the crowd to get our boarding pictures taken, and could barely squeeze back in! We showed our ID's and sea pass cards before going up the escalator, then again before getting into the gangway, then of course we had to present them to get on the ship. I found this to very odd. I spoke with another member of our roll call and he said that this was not normal for every RCI port. I guess I'll just have to take another RCI cruise and find out lol.

Sorry for not posting anything for a bit. Stupid obligations keeping me away lol. So anyway, after all the chaos we FINALLY make it on the ship. I look around and I'm instantly in love. This ship is BEAUTIFUL,! You have to remember I'm use to the loud colors of the NCL ships, and this ship seemed so elegant to me. The cabins weren't ready yet, so we explored for a little while.

First the theater, which I like the way it is situated better than the NCL ships I've been on so far. You have a good view of the stage from almost any place you sit. I also like where they have the reserved seating for the suites better. Instead of being awkwardly off to the side like NCL, these have a straight view to the stage.

Next we made our way to the royal promenade. I really like this concept. I liked how the shops are spread out along the entire length, instead of how they can be clustered together on he NCL ships. It is really neat how they have the promenade staterooms overlooking this area. A really fun concept in my opinion.

We also made our way to check it our dining room. Since we elected for My Time dining, we were seated in the Mozart dining room on deck five. I love how you can see all three decks of the dining rooms and how they all had their own color scheme, and you can see the chandelier from all three dining rooms. They were all very elegant. Also, we enjoyed the MDR experience so much that this is the first cruise that I didn't eat in the specialty restaurants for dinner at least once for the cruise!

Mom was starting to get a little tired and sis wanted a cigarette, so we went and found the smoking section by the pool on deck eleven, starboard side for those who might be wondering. Sis ordered the drink of the day which was a Captain's Bahama Mama. It was very tasty and came in a cool souvenir glass that turned a purple when it had liquid in it.

I decided I wanted to explore a little while they were relaxing. I checked out the solarium, and then made my way up to the Viking Crown Lounge and to the Blue Moon where our meet and mingle was scheduled to be. I really liked the floor to ceiling windows and the panoramic views up here. I also found the game room and the mini golf course.

I decided to head back to my Mom and Sis. I found sis with another one of the same drinks, but this time the glass turned pink lol. At this point I remembered that you can order these in a regular glass and have them be cheaper! Darn it. Oh well, now she has a fun reminder of the trip lol. Also, I find out that she has met somebody very interesting. The very first person we officially meet is someone who lives literally right around the corner from her where she lives is Arlington, WA! They had never met each other before today, and Arlington is a fairly small town so that is especially ironic that they meet each other thousands of miles away from home! From that time on, they always referred to each other as Arlington lol.

They called our cabins ready at two o'clock, and I was excited to see our home for the week. We had an Owner's Suite, 1600 on deck 10, the Andes Suite. It ended up being a very convenient location being just one deck down from the pool deck, and just take the elevator down five decks and be right at the dining room and the promenade. I opened the door and I'm just thrilled! Marble entry way and marble bathroom. There was a jetted bath tub and with separate shower. Two sinks which ended up being very convenient, and several drawers for storage, plus two sets of medicine cabinets behind the mirror. Underneath the bar there were several cabinets and drawers with even more storage. Our room had a coffee pot and also a pot for heating water for tea. There was also a small dining table.

There was a large sofa with a chaise lounge attached to it. This is also a hide a bed, and my sleeping place for the week. The main bed is a king I think, but cannot be separated into twins, just to make people aware in case this is important to them. There is a large closet that easily held everything the three of us decided to hang up. There was a few small medicine cabinets behind the mirrors above the vanity, drawers of course, and then a another corner cabinet next to the TV that had several small shelves in it. I will never get over how much storage they fit into these cabins. The TV could swivel to face either the bedroom or the living room. Here is also a curtain the separates the bedroom from the living room. There is a large window plus a skinny, tall window next to the TV. There is another larger window in the living room next to the sliding glass door leading out to the balcony. The balcony was about 10 or 12 feet long and about 3 feet deep. There were two wicker chairs and a small table out there. Naturally all the windows had heavy drapes to help keep out light in the mornings. I loved the neutral colors and the elegance of the marble.

It worked out great for us to have all the space, especially when trying to get ready in the mornings lol. That's all I've got for today. Hopefully tomorrow I can finish up day one. I hope I've been able to provide some information, and maybe en entertaining and detailed read. I Hope you're all enjoying so far .

So after dropping our bags in the cabin and putting a dew things away, we went up to the windjammer for lunch. I really wish that they had one of the MDRs open for lunch on embarkation day because I'm really not much of a buffet person. Oh well it worked out because it was close to where some of us from the roll call were having an unofficial meet up at the pool bar.

I have to say his buffet seemed to offer more choices and be less chaotic than the buffet I endured in my last NCL cruise. Now THAT was a nightmare. The food was pretty tasty, and we were able to sustain ourselves till dinner.

We headed to the pool bar to meet some of the folks m our roll call. We all agreed to wear beads so we would know how to recognize each other. this was so much fun! We met a lot of fun people, and it was great to see people we met that day throughout the rest of the cruise. I was s glad we all agreed to do this. We visited for about an hour and a half, then decided to head back to our room because my sister wanted to take s short nap before our muster drill.

Mom and I decided to go explore for a while. We looked in at some of the shops in the promenade, and made our way to deck 3 and checked out the Studio B ice staking rink. They had open skating a few times during the week, but I didn't pay attention to they exact days and times. We then went up one deck to where the casino and Jesters is at. I don't gamble but still wanted to go walk through and see what it looks like. I also thought it was neat how you could take the stairs up to the promenade. I liked the decor of Jesters, how it had kind of a mideviel look to it. We also went to the photo gallery just for reference so I would know later where to buy photos if I wanted.

We headed back up to the room to wake my sister for the muster drill. Our muster point was at D28, on deck 4 port side. This was different for me because on NCL our muster point is usually in a venue. Here we lined up right by the life boats. It was fairly quick and painless. Also, just so people are aware, ALL announcements are repeated in Spanish. Also, all the directions during the drill are repeated in Spanish. Makes sense since we are taking off out of a Spanish speaking port lol. It was over in about 15 minutes or so.

Afterward, we decided to go check out the concierge lounge. It's a fairly small area, so it's a good thing we showed up when we did or we wouldn't have been able to find a place to sit! Shortly after this place was packed! Mom and sis enjoyed bloody Marys and I had a glass of white and a rum punch. This be became our routine for the rest of the cruise lol. I have to say though it would be nice if the lounge was a little bit bigger and was somewhere that had a view of the ocean.

We headed to dinner at about 7, and that's when we met our favorite waiter and assistant waiter, Royal and Marcos. What a pair! They were so much fun and always made feel special. They were a huge part in what made the MDR experience so great. Our food was fantastic, and we were STUFFED by he time we left.

We then walked around the promenade to shop for souvenirs since they were open now. We found a few fun trinkets and also bought a lanyard for Mom so it would be easier for her to keep track of her seapass card. Afterward sis needed a cigarette so we went out onto deck 4 starboard side to the other smoking section on the ship. Then I remembered that we were allowed to go out to the bow of the ship! I was so excited because we don't get to do this on NCL. You go all the way forward till you come across some stairs, then go up and there you are. It was pitch dark at this point so we couldn't see much, but I was still thrilled to be there. I wanted to come back here during the daylight at some point for some pictures. Wouldn't you know it though. We never made it back here! I was so disappointed when I realized this :(. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to go again some day ;):D.

We then made our way back to our cabin to finish unpacking and getting things situated. We decided to go to the 1030 welcome aboard show. Seen our cruise director Dan Dan and found out he's from Seattle! That was kind of cool, it's the first cruise director I've had from the states. The show was ok, the had a comedian there, Pat Godwin I think. Th show was ok, but I have to admit that I found NCL's opening shows to be better. It lasted about an hour and then we headed back to our cabin. I was beat, and definitely ready for bed. Finally got there a little after midnight, and was completely content to be on this beautiful ship. I'm off here for today, BF and I are headed to a fair and demolition derby. Have a good day everybody :D

Hi New2cruise1483-

It was great reading your reviews on the AOS. We're big time cruisers w/ RCCL. This will be our 5th sailing on the AOS.We picked this particular sailing due to the many islands we'll be visiting.

My questions to you are: I see that you stayed at the Embassy Suites ( we've stayed w/ them numerous times here in the states upon traveling ) we'll be staying w/ them when we come back from our cruise, figured don't have to be back home for work so matters well force ourselves to stay extra days in PR. . . . lol lol lol lol - anyway,my room has been booked & paid for on line. Could you tell me the little extras that I'm sure will be charged by the hotel, like their own fees or taxes or surcharges, this way I know ahead of time what to expect.

On the formal nights- I've heard HORROR stories on the dress code of everyone. We're two couples who on Formal night enjoy dressing to the 9'ssssss, what were your expectations on the dress code?

Having sailed w/ RCCL ( this being our 18th cruise w/ them ) in my opinion this is where RCCL lacks in - kind of. I've seen great shows, comedians, while on the "Oasis" I will say, we saw " Hairspry" it was " FANTASTIC " living in NY & seeing many Broadway shows, this was right up their w/ the entertainment. So if you could possibly mention your thoughts.

Since we're sailing in a couple of weeks, I'm hoping w/ it being "school-time" that this ship is kind of "child-free-zone"!😉

Again it was nice reading your views, loved your thoughts ! Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks from NY🌴🚢

I forgot to keep my receipt to look at the charges! Sorry I can't help you here :(

On the formal nights- I've heard HORROR stories on the dress code of everyone. We're two couples who on Formal night enjoy dressing to the 9'ssssss, what were your expectations on the dress code? I did see a lot of people looking VERY spiffy, beautiful gowns on the ladies and suites/tuxes for the gentlemen. For Mom and I we wore nice slacks and fancy tops, and Sis wore a cute pink dress. I did see one guy in shorts and T shirt though, but his wife or GF were dressed very nicely.

Honestly, we only went to the evening shows a couple of evenings, but I will still try to give my input. The welcome aboard show wasn't near as good as what I've seen on NCL. We did go see Etta May the comedian and found her to be hilarious and really enjoyed her. We also seen Marcus Terrel and the Serenades, and he sang oldies and Motown. Mom really enjoyed this because it was music from her era. We didn't go to to the production shows though, so I honestly I can't comment here.

Since we're sailing in a couple of weeks, I'm hoping w/ it being "school-time" that this ship is kind of "child-free-zone"!😉 There were a few kids, but we really didn't notice them. Very few and far between

Again it was nice reading your views, loved your thoughts ! Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

I responded in bold above. I hope this helps a little bit and enjoy your trip! I'm just a little envious that you get to be on this beautiful ship again and I'm going to be doing that nasty, four letter word every day that helps me afford cruises lol

🌴 Hi New2cruise1483

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I really appreciate your feed back.

I understand your feeling "blue" not being on the ship enjoying yourself. I always think of that as we're walking on the ship and your watching the people getting off the ship saying #%€*^~|< bleeping bleep that will be us in 8 days lol lol lol.

Just can't life be one constant vacation😓

We will be flying in a day early, made sure I got the first flight out of NY 5:30 am landing in San Juan @ 9:30 am. We're traveling w/ our best friends ( their first time out of the USA- flying wise ) I've booked our stay at the Caribe Hilton. We always stay there when sailing out of San Juan,PR.

So I'm glad you & your family enjoyed your cruising week on the Adventure of the Seas. . . . Soon it will be my turn, then some one else's & so on & so on

[font="I woke up at about 720 this morning and walked out onto the balcony and we were pulling into St. Croix. I was so excited to be in our first port. We decided to just have room service bring us breakfast so we didn't have get up and go out for breakfast and could just have a leisurely morning in our cabin. The plan for the day was to head over to Sandcastle Resort and relax on the beach, so there was no rush. The food was ok, not great, but not bad either. The coffee was much better than what we got out of the coffee maker in our cabin. I want to comment on the coffee maker really quick. The only plug in we could find for it was in the bedroom by the vanity. Thus really wasn't very convenient, but we couldn't find ANY other plug ins. Can anybody else comment on this?

We were off the ship at about 930. They had somebody asking where we wanted to go, and directing us to where we needed to go to find right can for us. We found the right table and the lady working there have us our tickets ($6 per person) and was able to find us seats on a cab leaving right then. The " cabs" are actually large vans, and try to fill up before leaving. It was probably about a 10 minute ride there, and when he dropped us off, he told us that there would be a bus there every half hour to pick people up If they wanted. It was nice knowing it would be easy to find a ride back when we were ready.

They have a package for cruise passengers that consisted of two loungers, an umbrella and two rum punches for $25. I thought it was a pretty decent price so we went with one of the packages and an extra chair, so it ended up being $30 total. The have a beach attendant that sets up your stuff for you. It does seems to take awhile, but they only had one person doing this, so it was understandable that it took awhile. Oh well, we were on vacation, so who cares? :D. We had him set our stuff up under a tree so we had a little extra shade.

The first thing on my agenda was sunscreen. I'm pretty fair skinned and burn easily, so I always try to be vigilant with it. We were set up, I had on my sunscreen, time to the water! It was SOOOO nice, it really felt lovely as hot as it was getting already that morning. This beach is fairly rockey, but they were easy to avoid and find a nice place to stand. There were several fish swimming around them, and there was a couple spots that were covered in little White Sea urchins. They were very cool, but be careful! You don't want to step in one of these!

We needed up meeting a couple of girls from the ship that were just a riot! We visited with them for most of the day, and they were so much fun! After being around us all day, they started calling my mom " mom " and my sister " sissy" because that's what I call her lol.

Sis and I decided to go to the restaurant and get food and our rum punch. We had to wait quite a while for our rum punch, but they were pretty busy. They did bring our food out to us on the beach, so that was pretty nice. The rum punch wasn't the best, but hey, it's booze on the beach so it's all good lol. We relaxed the restof the day and just enjoyed the fun company, the water and the beautiful scenery. You can see the ship from this spot, so we took pictures of each other with the ship in the background lol. We decided to head back to the port at about 230 to have time to look around for souvenirs. I found some magnets, a shot glass for BF and a cute top, and Mom and sis found some really fun things too.

I'm going to have to conclude for now, and finish day 2 tomorrow. I'm really sorry I have to do this review this way, but doing it in bits and pieces is all I have time for :(. Thanks to everybody joining me so far. Have a go evening :)/FONT]

Ok, I promise to finish day 2 this go round lol. So we get back to our cabin, and as I get ready to get into the shower I see that I am BURNT! Despite my diligent use of sunscreen Ivstill got burnt! Grr. My Sis and I got to talking and she heard that some brands are better than others,so on my nest cruise I'm going to experiment.

We headed down to the concierge lounge at about five for drinks and snacks , and we met the funniest couple, Cindy and Andre. We really enjoyed visiting with them, and we looked forward to visiting with them every night from then on out. We ended up visiting with them until about 730 or so, and then headed to dinner.

We got seated at the same table again tonight, which surprised me because I didn't think that was normal for my time dining. We were delighted to have the same waitstaff again, and thouroughly enjoyed our dinner with them. I was having trouble deciding on a dessert tonight, so while waiting mine, I kept stealing bites off of my sisters lol. When Royal came by and asked us how our everything was, we told him it was great, but my sister commented that I kept, stealing bites off of her cheesecake. He then asked if I wanted one as well. Kinda hard to turn that down, so I made a pig out of myself this evening lol.

We went to the solarium after dinner because I wanted to try out the huge hot tubs in there. Very, very nice, there was three other people in there but it is big enough you hardly notice. They also have showers in there to rinse off when you're done in the hot tubs or the pool.

I was nice and relaxed, and definitely ready for bed. When we got to our cabin, we got our fist towel animal, a sea lion. Mom and sis thought it was the coolest thing findings these little creations on their bed every other night lol. We got to bed at around midnight or after. I just love how well I sleep when I'm on a cruise :D. That's all for tonight folks, have a good evening!
