Final payment

Our final was paid on Sept. 15th. So far there have been no price changes to the cruise. As a general rule how long does it take before prices change? We are happy with our cabin choice...just hoping for a possible OBC!

Sometimes they never change. If they do, the cruise line does not have to give you anything after final payment date.

A lot depends on how full the cruise will be and if there are a lot of open cabins, there is more of a chance of a discount. Keep checking as one never knows.

Based on my experience, HAL price cuts on the shorter (less than 21 days) cruises generally occur within the last 45 days prior to departure. I'm sure other CCers have had different experience and will give you the benefit of their particular experiences.

Exactly. There is no rhyme, reason or pattern. Just keep watching.

Also, I think that they reduce prices in a bunch at a time, so there is no exact day level for this. For example, they may reduce all the Sept Alaska cruises on the same day.

I felt we were paying too much for a December cruise that I booked while on board last year so I cancelled before final rather than hoping for OBC later. Still a lot of available cabins so will watch and see what happens around the 45 day mark. If things look good we will re-book. If not, that's OK too:)
