kvickers Posted September 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2015 We are booked on the Breakaway in March and now starting to look at some transportation options to/from the port and airport. Will be flying in the evening prior to embarkation day. Looks like Newark might have the cheaper flights (compared to LGA) but honestly don't know where to start with getting to/from the port since NCL does not offer transfers from there. Any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We will be travelling with kids so if the extra costs would be worth it for the convenience from LGA would like to know that as well. Thanks all! Could you provide more details? Exact date? How many kids and what are their ages? Are you staying overnight at the airport or in Manhattan? Hotel budget? Hotel bed configuration? The answers to ALL these questions affect the cost of your various options.

If we are flying into Newark we will stay there overnight. 2 adults, 2 kids under 10. Looking to spend less than $500 for hotel and transportation. Looking to spend less than $500 for hotel and transportation. That's an ample budget. Hotel on Glimcher Realty Way (Courtyard Elizabeth, Country Inns, Embassy Suites, or Residence Inn) should be under $200 tax included. This is across from the Jersey Gardens Mall which has shops, a food court and movies. Some of these hotels have a pool. Contact Dial7 or Carmellimo for a quote for a car Service to the Pier - look around for online coupons. Best guess - in the $100+ range plus tolls and tip. If you want to save some money, get yourselves back to one of the terminals and take the airport bus to Port Authority and a cab to the pier. Adults pay $16 on the bus and kids are free. Cab to the pier should be in the $15 range, so this should cost under $50 for the four of you.

Please do. The New Yorkers are not keen on Supershuttle. Some first hand experiences would be good and as many details as possible. It's very popular in other parts of the country. I am trying it myself to go from LAX to the Port of Los Angeles in three weeks.
