Not interested in the beach, hiking or snorkeling. Edited September 21, 2015 by dorisdvu
Ms411 Posted September 21, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 21, 2015 Unfortunately, what you're not interested in are what most people are interested in. An island tour that includes a relaxing beach break, a trip to Paradise Point for the view, visit Magic Ice to see the ice sculptures, visit the Phantasea Botanical Garden, go horseback riding at Golden Age Ranch (I think that's the name), go to Coral World to check out marine life without getting wet, shop, go to St John and do an island tour consisting of plantation ruins. What is your group interested in?
OCruisers Posted September 21, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 21, 2015 Just going into town for lunch and shopping might suit. An island tour is another possibility.
HarpHarp Posted September 21, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 21, 2015 This company gives several different tour packages, including an historical tour. http://www.islandtoursvi.com/tours.html Kayaking the mangrove is fun. Coral World has already been mentioned. How about ziplining? http://www.ziplinestthomas.com/
blue_water Posted September 21, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 21, 2015 Unfortunately, what you're not interested in are what most people are interested in. Or fortunately! ;) But yes we'd probably taxi to Red Hook and ferry to St John and walk Cruz Bay, have a lunch and a couple drinks at the Beach Bar. You can also take an island tour for $25pp or so. Then head back and taxi up to Paradise Point for the view (and drinks:p ).
dorisdvu Posted September 22, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted September 22, 2015 Thank you for the great ideas. We would like to do an island tour, Coral World, Mountain Top, St Johns. I don't think all of this is doable in the amount of time that we have (in port Charlotte Amalie 1200-0700). Trying to decide if we want to get a private tour or go with one of ship excursions. Ms411 Posted September 22, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 22, 2015 An island tour would include Mountain Top. If you choose an island tour that includes a stop at Coki Beach, you can go to Coral World during the beach time. If you do an island tour, you can't go to St John.
