cloud_nine Posted September 24, 2015 #26 Share Posted September 24, 2015 On my last cruise in August on the Explorer, there wasn't a white party at all. There have been on all the other ships I've been on so I was wondering, is it only certain ships that have the white/glow party?
wolfcathorse Posted September 24, 2015 #27 Share Posted September 24, 2015 it seems that whoever is printing the Cruise Compasses sometimes forgets to add "wear white". The white party is usually the late night dancing under the stars night. And recently there has not been a food buffet.

shadbrew Posted September 28, 2015 Author #31 Share Posted September 28, 2015 One of the great features of Cruise Critic is that you have the availability to view posted Daily Cruise News/Schedules (each line has their own name). These publications can help you prepare. In this case 'shadbrew' is on an RCCL Adventure of the Seas - Southern Caribbean cruise. He can view a Cruise Compass of a previous sailing. Dress for one night is described as "Wear Something White". https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8fwz08iIfugLTB5RDdRa3FTRUE/view Where does one find the Cruise Compasses for previous cruises? Clarea Posted September 28, 2015 #32 Share Posted September 28, 2015 Where does one find the Cruise Compasses for previous cruises? You would have to find a review of the previous cruise that included compasses.
LuvBNatC Posted September 28, 2015 #33 Share Posted September 28, 2015 I didn't realize they were still holding these white hot parties, but I'm glad they are. :) It's OK to wear white after Labor Day when you're somewhere that doesn't make a ritual of putting all the summer clothes away and pulling out the winter gear, like we used to do in New England. White disappeared from Labor Day to Memorial Day. In Virginia, I may wear white in January if it's warm enough. And if cruising in warm climates any time of year, I pack white because it's cooler. grand isle joe Posted September 28, 2015 #34 Share Posted September 28, 2015 ....isn't that why the fashion police created "winter white"?????;):D
