Why wear white?

One of the great features of Cruise Critic is that you have the availability to view posted Daily Cruise News/Schedules (each line has their own name). These publications can help you prepare. In this case 'shadbrew' is on an RCCL Adventure of the Seas - Southern Caribbean cruise. He can view a Cruise Compass of a previous sailing. Dress for one night is described as "Wear Something White".

Where does one find the Cruise Compasses for previous cruises?

I didn't realize they were still holding these white hot parties, but I'm glad they are. :)

It's OK to wear white after Labor Day when you're somewhere that doesn't make a ritual of putting all the summer clothes away and pulling out the winter gear, like we used to do in New England. White disappeared from Labor Day to Memorial Day.

In Virginia, I may wear white in January if it's warm enough. And if cruising in warm climates any time of year, I pack white because it's cooler.
