fair-winds39 Posted September 30, 2016 #27 Share Posted September 30, 2016 If you have sailed on Carnival Pride what are your best tips and suggestions. Also what would you recommend as far as the most affordable balcony cabin and location. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk We'll be on the Pride for the fifth time in early 2017. We like the 1 1/2 hour drive to the port, although we do travel the day before and get a Stay & Cruise hotel package at one of the Baltimore hotels. The reason we do that is just in case the weather isn't great, i.e. snow, ice, etc., and the I-95 South commute could have traffic problems, so we don't like to take any chances. We always get a great Standard Balcony price maybe because we sail the Pride in the Winter months. We always picked the Main Deck Aft; quiet, close to MDR...really close to everything. This next cruise though, we are moving up a deck to an extended Aft balcony and we're spending a little bit more. We love the Aft section of the ship, and we like the size of Carnival's Spirit Class ships. The Carnival Pride is very easy to navigate. We were glad we tried the Bonsai Sushi restaurant just outside of the casino. We had the Ship for 2, and I think it was $17.00 and it served two and it was served with the sushi on a little ship with I think salad and soup..very good if you like sushi. Another suggestion if you like a nice martini, cocktail, etc. try the Alchemy bar. Depending when you're sailing, the Pride shows movies on deck. We like traditional dining, and we sometimes do one night at David's Steakhouse, and that's nice too. My advice is just to see what interests you on the daily activities every day, carry a highlighter and mark off what you like, and just do as much or as little as you want. I have no doubt that you'll enjoy the Carnival Pride. Have fun!!!
