Specialty Dining vs. Ultimate Dining

Specialty dining plan (SDP) replaced the Ultimate Dining Plan (UDP), so you wouldn't even be able to purchase the UDP at this point. Main difference is that the UDP covers all nights of your cruise. Now with the SDP, you buy as little as 3 nights specialty dining. It gives you the option to just buy what you think you will use.

The main difference is that the UBP is no longer available for sale or as a promotional perk. The only people that have it are those who booked several months ago.

So unless you already have the UBP on an existing booking, it doesn't really matter what the differences are between the two packages, because for any future bookings, the SDP is your only option. You can choose it as a promotional perk with many types of bookings, or purchase it yourself.
