MaiTaiMary Posted October 2, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2015 We're going on the Breeze next year and are curious about the Thrill Theater. What exactly are these movies? I'm not sure what "5-D" is. I'm ondering if my kids would want to get the pass for the entire cruise. Who has been to them? Thanks.:)
klfrodo Posted October 2, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 2, 2015 Instead of just a 3-D movie it adds 2 more dimensions. Motion and feeling. The seat you sit in moves and jerks around in sync with the action in the movie plus if the movie includes splashing water, you will get spritzed also. The movies are animated shorts. The kids will love it. Myself??? I loved it, but heed the warnings about neck and back injuries past and current. I've had 3 back surgeries but am active in golf, bowling, working out, etc. After my Thrill Ride,,, I was down for the count. Thankfully I had brought a couple of left over vicoden and flexerill. Normal 1 Posted October 2, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 2, 2015 We enjoyed them this past March (Mom, 53 and 2 kids 21 years old). They can sometimes have a long line (theater only holds 20ish people at a time). A pass for the entire cruise is less than $15. We found right after early dining dinner to be the time to go. They will show different features each day/night. Some of the young kid oriented films were only shown during the day. some nights, would be 'only the coasters' and there would be repeat of what we had seen earlier in the week. All was good though as we were still surprised by some of the 'effects' even the 2nd time through.
