Breakaway, upgrade?

We leave next Sunday on Breakaway and we got a good deal for a cheapie inside cabin. However as I see prices dropping rapidly, I hoped I could upgrade to at least a higher cat, inside as well. My PCC with NCL, said in, as it didn't apply to me? I've done it before? Moved from inside to outside on the Gem! Thought maybe I'd lose something, but what? Anyone upgraded with any problems or not, it is 8 days away? Thx

thx! that's what I thought, but my PCC shut me down! Last time I upgraded, I was told I couldn't get OBC. will call NCL and see what happens!

I'm sailing on 10/18. Called my TA today since the prices dropped on the Mini-suites to the same as the balcony. Got the upgrade no charge.

How do you go about getting the OBC when the upgrade is offered we are happy with what we have and could always use the credit.

I was offered an upgrade today and I'm leaving on Breakaway tomorrow, due to price drop. I took OBC instead cause I want my studio.

I did the same thing when I was offered a oceanview upgrade from a studio for my trip later this year due to 2nd price drop. I took the $100 OBC and forfeit any future upgrades because well, no offense; a oceanview/interior is not a good enough room upgrade to me, to forfeit the studio lounge perks like a balcony or mini-suite.

 

Regarding the OP - when dealing with NCL, let them offer you the different room categories than a interior, at low or free cost for the original price drop. If you already have a low price room after a drop, you're not going to get much. Sadly those are the breaks..
