Auckland City Tour

We disembark in Auckland on Sunday and have a tour booked. However, the tour we had booked for Monday fell through. We are in a bit of a scramble to find something. Hopefully we would see Mount Eden, Davenport, and other important sights in the city area. We had a tour which would drop us off at the airport so it would be nice to get the same thing. Any suggestions?

Try Jim Archer tours--He has a good reputation and would probably drop you at the airport.

Unfortunately that was the tour that fell through. We are very disappointed. But thanks for the suggestion.

Hi again--The Archer tour cancelled ? I am concerned because I have tours scheduled with him in February. He has been very responsive in his emails -Kathy

Not canceled. Miscommunication. I thought I had confirmed the tour with him, but when I was doing my final check with tours before leaving, he said he didn't have me down and had a tour in Tautanga that day. I don't know where the problem lay, but it is a good lesson to keep all communications and to follow up.

We didn't use a private guide in Auckland ourselves but the link below is from tripadvisor...reviews of various tours offered there.

 

In the past I have found private tour guides through this website (for venice, Sydney, Hawaii, etc) and had good luck each time.

This is who we are using for our tour and airport dropoff--he was recommended to contact since Archer tours was full on the day we wanted.
