Christmas Day in San Juan what to do??

We had a land vacation in San Juan over Christmas, I don't remember much being open...not sure at all what would be open in OSJ? But we had a wonderful relaxing beach day!

We were in port on Christmas Day 2013 and were worried also. We got off and found someone doing bus tours. I think it was about $20. Took us around to the holocaust memorial, stopped at a beach for awhile and then to El Morro fort. The fort wasn't open but we could still walk around. It is beautiful. And the best part was there was no traffic to speak of. He said the tour would normally take a few more hours because of the traffic. After the tour we did a little shopping (over 1/2 of shops had opened up by then), stopped for a snack and ended at Senor Frogs which was hopping!! We had a great day. We're going back in Jan and looking forward to touring at least one of the forts this time. Enjoy!!

Even if you don't normally book excursions through the cruise line, Christmas Day is a good day to do so.

 

Even the ship may not offer many on Christmas Day ... but those they do offer will go. :)
