Bayport houston question

Has anyone ever tried to park at Bayport in Houston without a reservation and when they arrived ... parking was full ??

I know...why not just make a reservation BUT to be honest, I am just trying to get info on whether the parking generally is FULL

we've been out of Houston I think four times and the parking lot was not even close to full. it has always looked to me like getting in was quicker with reservations. by that I mean the line moves along quicker if folks don't have to pay at the entrance. it's like parking at the mall except you have to go through an entrance. I recommend getting the deal done ahead of time.
