Hydrokitty Posted October 12, 2015 #101 Share Posted October 12, 2015 I find that most OTC socks are a little painful at the very top -- so I roll the top over an inch or two and that solves the problem. I was beginning to think I was the only one who had that problem. :D As the flight progresses, I find that the "little painful at the top" becomes downright unbearable...I bought my first pair at the Samsonite outlet and then after the blood clot I had a pair from medical supply house....cost more, but they're a little more comfortable....not a lot, just a little....but worth the alternative. Rebel54 Posted October 12, 2015 #102 Share Posted October 12, 2015 Well we are not alone because I thought it was just me too. When we went to Alaska (from Hawaii) I bought some really nice silk thermal socks to keep my whimpy Hawaii feet and legs warm. They dug in to that spot and really hurt. Folding down made it tight on my calf. Considered stretching them out but then you have to deal with them sliding down.
Rebel54 Posted October 12, 2015 #103 Share Posted October 12, 2015 #1 you don't have to pull them up all the way.# 2 yes, you won't get blood clots. That is the reason one wears them. Thanks. I guess I meant do you feel a noticeable difference in how you feel with a lot of walking. :)
