lovelife Posted October 11, 2015 Author #79 Share Posted October 11, 2015 Interesting. On the the new plans (after the dry dock) lists the card room as part of the new Suite Lounge. I wonder if they are starting early? Could be. Thanks for your review and pictures. You are welcome.

NewSalt Posted October 12, 2015 #84 Share Posted October 12, 2015 Your pictures are great, but they're making me a little melancholy. We were on the Liberty in August, and it was our best cruise ever. In one of your pictures I can see the big red dog that was at our elevator stop. My two grandsons ran over to pet him whenever we waited for the elevator. We really loved this ship and are sorry that she won't be sailing out of Cape Liberty any more. I'm glad you enjoyed your cruise on this beautiful ship.

lovelife Posted October 13, 2015 Author #86 Share Posted October 13, 2015 Sorry to take so long to complete this, but here goes. Dining (I hope everyone has had lunch :D): We had Sorrentos pizza a couple times. I've never been fond of it myself but DH likes it. One of my favorite snacks is the cheesecake pop from Cafe Promenade - simply yummy. I also love the Led Zeppoles Cafe Promenade Treats Frozen yogurt machine on pool deck
lovelife Posted October 13, 2015 Author #87 Share Posted October 13, 2015 Fruit carving in the Windjammer I always have the strawberry/kiwi plate, horseradish crusted salmon, and carrot cake on the first night in the MDR. One of my favorite meals. Pumpkin seed roll for me every night DH's beef dish
lovelife Posted October 13, 2015 Author #88 Share Posted October 13, 2015 Dining continued: We usually had breakfast at the Windjammer but a couple times in the dining room. One morning at the dining room we would have had a wait for a two top behind about 20 people so I asked and was told there is no Diamond and up separate dining area for breakfast on this ship. I love the omelettes in the Windjammer and waited in line a few times to get one. After so much eating my breakfasts became smaller and smaller. DH, however, had no problem filling his plate every day! We ate most lunches in the Windjammer We headed for the dining room on sea days for the tutti salad. I was so disappointed that they had no shrimp there. One day at MDR lunch I really wanted the pasta but it (like so much of their food) had onions in it. Our waiter asked the chef to prepare some without onions for me and it was the most delicious food I had the entire cruise. It makes my mouth water looking at the photo. lovelife Posted October 13, 2015 Author #95 Share Posted October 13, 2015 We celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary in Portofino's as I wanted to get that seafood skewer once more before they change all the Portofinos to Giovanni's. The food was delicious as usual and they brought us a celebratory dessert and sang to us. The wonderful bread Shrimp Risotto DH's beef (whoa that's blurry) My seafood skewer disassembled The end of a scrumptious meal We went to Johnny Rockets the last evening for dinner but none of the three workers even acknowledged our presence even though we were the only ones there. After a very long wait we left in a huff making sure they knew why. It was the Jammer for the final dinner. I love strawberry pavlova so I had two! lovelife Posted October 13, 2015 Author #96 Share Posted October 13, 2015 Wrap-up There were so few children on this cruise. I never heard a count but I personally only saw maybe 20. This little boy played in the middle of the promenade rolling his toy car under the feet of elderly folks who tried to dodge his antics. His mother watched and smiled at him. The other children encountered were well behaved. There were lots of elderly folks with walkers and wheel chairs but it certainly wasn't an issue as I have read from others. I am always happy to help anyone I can and will gladly give up an elevator to someone in need. Some comments I had been reading were totally uncalled for in my opinion. Back to New Jersey Debarkation We waited in the MDR and when called, we fairly quickly made our way to the terminal. The wait to go through customs was about 20 minutes. We conveniently rolled our luggage across the street to the parking lot and had no need for the shuttle. Back at our car. See how close we parked? This was a wonderful cruise on a great ship. The itinerary was one I had wanted to do for a long time and I'm so glad I had the opportunity.
