Nassau and Freeport - Under $50

Hey! My friends and I will be visiting Nassau and Freeport in mid-January. We are on a bit of a budget and would like to stay around $50 for each port. Slightly more is okay, slightly less is even better.

 

Any suggestions are welcomed!

In Freeport you can take a taxi for $14 rt to Taino Beach which is free. Or you can take a taxi for $10 rt to the Lucaya area. These are per person rates. There you can walk to a free beach and also shop at Port Lucaya. I like Taino better as far as the beach goes.

Why after 1/18? We will be in Nassau end of November.

I am open to absolutely anything, like beach days or snorkeling or tours or random adventures. However, we will most likely have a few drinks at each port.

 

So far for Nassau, we are considering the Tiki Bikini hut and for Freeport, Lucaya beach.

 

But any other suggestions are highly welcomed!

When I spoke with a Day Pass representative to see about Day Passes at the Hilton for January 7th, she said the Hilton is not selling Day Passes the first 2 weeks of January due to the resort being at full occupancy. It's harder to get day passes during the holiday weeks when the resorts in house bookings are full.

In Nassau you can walk to Junkanoo Beach and not spend a dime but if you want food, drinks and chair the pricing is reasonable.

Hi- We enjoy the Melia Resort on Cable Beach with its large pools and

nice beach area. We get the plain daypass without food and buy snacks

in the lobby.
