natish3000 Posted September 28, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2005 I notice that this is next to the internet lounge. I am thinking this would be slightly more private as there is only a balcony on onwe side. On the other hand, I wonder if the lights from the internet area ruin the ambiance of a balcony? Anyone in the know please advise. Thanks
Triplet and One Posted September 29, 2005 #2 Share Posted September 29, 2005 Internet cafe is pretty dimly lit in the evenings. I also believe that there are doors which separate the common areas from the cabin hallway. Have a great time!
bmr12 Posted September 29, 2005 #3 Share Posted September 29, 2005 I can't speak to 8096 specifically, but I sailed in 8116 last month (four doors down on the other side of the lounge). There are no doors between the cabin hallways and the centrum area, but there was never any significant amount of noise from the internet area at all. And in the evening, I would think the light from there on the balcony would be minimal as well--no worse than any other cabin next door. There is a lot of noise from the centrum area, but I thought the sound-proofing was pretty good as I opened our cabin door a couple of times and was surprised by the sound of live brass section four floors down--couldn't hear it at all inside the cabin. And there's not much back and forth traffic down the hallway on the 8th deck as most folks are up on floor on the pool deck. Being underneat the ping-pong table did generate some interesting noises on the balcony, however!
