dpfred Posted September 28, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2005 We sail out of Port Canaveral in February. We fly in on Friday evening and the ship leaves on Saturday. Is there a hotel that Carnival uses for early check ins, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. dpfred

Check on line with hotels.com. There may be hotels that offer shuttle to the port...

obx_fintoo Posted September 29, 2005 #5 Share Posted September 29, 2005 When we cruise out of Port Canaveral we always stay at the Comfort Inn Suites in Cocoa Beach. It's just about 12 minutes South of the port and they have a free shuttle for cruisers that stay there. It is right beside Ron Jon's and there are lots of great places to eat and drink close by. Hope you have a great cruise whereever you start from.
dpfred Posted September 29, 2005 Author #6 Share Posted September 29, 2005 obx fintoo thanks for the info. When we sailed out of Long Beach we were able to stay at the Queen Mary and have early check in there and did the same thing in Vancouver. Just thought they might have the same deal somewhere around Port Canaveral. dpfred
mnsawyer Posted September 29, 2005 #7 Share Posted September 29, 2005 We didn't stay in the Cocoa Beach area on our Glory cruise last April but wished we had. We stayed in Orlando and then drove to the port in the morning. We stopped at Ron Jon's and walked along the beach. What a great place to spend some time pre-cruise! How was the Comfort Inn? We saw it and wondered? Assume they offer breakfast as part of the room?
MikeM Posted September 29, 2005 #8 Share Posted September 29, 2005 We like the Radisson At the Port in Cocoa Beach. 5 min to port
beaming90 Posted September 29, 2005 #9 Share Posted September 29, 2005 We don't want to rent a car, so we are staying in Orlando over night for our next cruise and then taking the shuttle to the port. We are planning on staying right at the airport at the Hyatt. In Feb. we stayed at the Wingate Inn in Orlando, but there was nothing to do close by. Good luck and have a great trip!! mkk Posted September 29, 2005 #10 Share Posted September 29, 2005 We've stayed at Ron Jon..booked it as a time share week though so I think it's pretty pricey as a nightly stay..but a great place..esp if you have kids..the beach is great and the pool area is fun...waterslides..lazy river etc..(you can park there and take a shuttle to the pier..a couple miles I think)
