Ship activity during three days in port

I looked for this topic in the history and didn't see it. We are looking to do a 7 day Bermuda cruise with three consecutive days in port. Have cruised many times and have been to Bermuda for the day but never done this. I know ship activity shuts down while in port. Is this the same for a three day port in Bermuda? Are the shops, casino, and all that shut down and unavailable for three days straight?

Thanks,

Eddy

The ship is pretty quiet while it is docked in Bermuda. All of the shops are closed. Bermuda just started allowing the Casino to open at 9 PM the nights it is in port. The ship still do some evening shows since most of Bermuda closes at 5 - 6 PM. The shops all close early even when a ship is in port. The Bars and Restaurants will remain open. Snorkel Park has evening activities as well.

I wouldn't say that the ship is quiet while in port in Bermuda other than during the day when most passengers are off the ship...which is pretty much how things are on any cruise in any port.

The on board shops are closed but the restaurants, bars and entertainment venues are going full tilt just as if the ship was at sea, and now the casino is open from 9 pm to 5 am as long as the cruise line has obtained a casino license.

My husband and I were thinking of spending the third day at the spa. we heard that they have specials during port days. Is that true and can I book before the ship leaves NYC? On NCL btw.

Yes NCL often has spa specials on port days. As far as I know they can only be booked on board...but I'm not 100% certain.

To me, the best choice would be to get two tokens per person and go to Horseshoe Bay. There is a lot of beach space there and they have food, drinks, and chair/umbrella rentals. For $9 a person, you will enjoy a beautiful beach day in Bermuda. No need to spend $300 for a beach day in Bermuda.
