pathubia Posted October 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2015 Can I put a luggage tag on a case of water at the port in New Orleans? We are cruising NCL next month.
rvsullivan Posted October 24, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 24, 2015 New Orleans was always one of three ports for NCL that did not allow you to check drinks. There was a post quite some time back that someone did it, but I've never noticed any others. It was always an issue with the dock workers, not the cruise line. Best bet is to try but have a backup plan to carry them on. You will not be able to go to your cabin before about 1-2 pm.

mickev99 Posted November 12, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 12, 2015 I just saw this and I think you are already on your way to Nola, but 2 years ago on our Jewel trip I put a case in our luggage and it went straight to our room. Then used the suitcase for souvenirs.
pathubia Posted November 25, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted November 25, 2015 I figured we would give it a try, slapped a luggage tag on a case of water, the porter took it, loaded it up with our luggage, and it was delivered to the suite. It was an hour after the rest of the luggage, so maybe it was checked for contraband.....
