Ålborg : time to do Lindholm Hoje on our own?

Viking Ocean's Viking Homelands cruise arrives 8:00am and departs 1:30pm. Although the line offers a reasonably priced ($59) 3-hour tour that includes Lindholm Hoje, we are wondering if it's possible to get more time at the museum, and less at other less-interesting ( to us) sights, by taking bus or taxi to/from the museum.

Do you know where in Aalborg you ship will dock?

 

 

I have found a few busses that stops at or near Lindholm Høje, I have just searched from bus the central bus station.

 

 

2C stops at Lindholm Høje

 

S3 stops at nearby Arkildsdal

I have done some research by myself.

 

 

The cruiseships will dock at Honnørkajen near Aalborg Castle.

 

 

From here you walk to Nytorv (Østeraagade) where bus 2C depats from.

Bus 2C towards Uttrup will get you to Lindholm Høje in 12 minutes.

 

 

Mandag til fredag is Monday to Friday.

 

Lørdag is Saturday

 

Søndag is Sunday (most public holidays will be after the sunday schedule)
