Shared taxi/public transportation to Balata gardens?

Hi,

 

We would like to go to the Balata Gardens on our own so I am trying to find out what is the least expensive way to do it. Has anyone taken a shared accompanied taxi there? I read that people use the shared taxi to get to St. Pierre, but I am not sure if they go to Balata as well.

 

We have a French speaker in the family, so language will not be a limiting factor. Are there ways to use public transportation to get to the gardens?
