New to Norwegian with 2?s (GEM kids club and Spa)

I am leaving on the Gem 10 fay on 1/12/2016.

 

Does the Kids club open up on the first night? If so do you know what time? I want to make dining reservations. Also does the club generally close at night.

 

I was thinking of getting the spa pass. Is the spa separated for men and Women? Would my husband and I be able to enjoy it together?

The kids; club does close - usually at 10pm, except on those nights they designate for late nights (and there's a charge for those). I can't seem to remember for sure if the kids; club opens that first night or not. It seems like it does, but it's been long enough since my son was that age that I'm not completely sure.
