Our party of 3 was currently booked in an Oceanview stateroom on the Carnival Ecstasy. The upgrade fairy called and offered an upgrade for only $375 for all of us to move to a Grand Suite!!!!!!!

That was an upsell not an upgrade. An upgrade is complimentary, if you paid money for it you were given an upsell. But if it works for you that's great.

Only way we could afford the GS.... I promise one day it will happen. Sad that your 25 milestone doesn't go above a freaking balcony or at least that's what I've been told.

We did all our booking directly through Carnival.

 

I called once to inquire about upgrading to a balcony and we were debating on it, then they called with the upgrade.

 

They also mentioned how they noticed my birthday was the week afte f the cruise.

That's awesome! When do you sail? I have booked an Oceanview for the Dec 4th sailing as a surprise to my husband for his 50th. Would love to get that call!
