Fully Paid and Now Price Has Dropped...Options?

Two of my sisters booked (directly through Carnival by telephone) an inside stateroom last week for the 11/20/05 Conquest sailing. Today I got an email from Carnival showing OV guarantees on the same sailing for $50 less pp than their inside cabin. Will Carnival let them move up to the OV guaranty and give them each $50 shipboard credit, since the price has dropped? I have a call in to our PVP but would like y'alls opinion before she calls me back if at all possible. Thanks!

When our price dropped (dramatically) on the Conquest, Carnival - we are booked directly with Carnival - let us move into an OV from an IS and then also credited us the difference, right back to our visa card in the form of an actual refund.

So, you might want to see if that's an option, if it interests you.

Sable, thanks for the quick reply. :) Still waiting for a call back from our PVP. It will be handy to be able to tell her I know of someone else who has received what we are requesting. I'll post after I talk to her and let ya' know how it went! Thanks again,

When our price dropped after final payment 2 1/2 year s ago, we were able to get a free upgrade from an 8G balcony to a cat. 11 suite.:D All you can do is ask.

Carnival came through! Got my sisters switched from an inside room to an OV guarantee, plus $50 pp shipboard credit! They are so happy to have an OV! (and a possible visit from the Upgrade Fairy ;) ) Yippee!! :D

From what I have heard, you can get lower price when the price drops from your TA or PVP at Carnival.

 

SO glad it worked out for you...my father has 7 sisters
